For example, by isolating four motifs from the whole—an alternation of squares and rectangles—a dynamic takes shape which, when taken within the overall work, creates a fluttering that produces the optical effect. Moreover, when the painting is positioned at eye level, a lighter area appears, forming a square along the diagonal.
